I have spent this week reviewing recent literature and studies that relate to sustainability with regard to university student perceptions. Within this I have academic articles, survey findings, presentations, surveys and reports. These I have printed off to read and look for connections to formulate our own survey.
I initially used Google to commence my search and recorded my key terms as they developed. My brief was to utilise current research from the last 1-2 years, that is located predominately within the UK.
During my Doctorate I started to use Mendeley which is a free online reference manager that assists to organise your research. It looks similar to Outlook and within it one can save documents, webpages, make notes etc. I have saved all of the documents into this, which will assist when I am looking to synthesise and make connections across them, as you can search Mendeley for specific words.
What I discover will feed into an online survey that will aim to capture student perceptions of sustainability.
